BIO
Olga Bezverkhaya (Ольга Безверхая) born in 1988 in the USSR, she currently lives and works in Milan, Italy. From an early age, she studied art and later received a degree in environmental design from a university in Russia. In 2013, she moved to Italy, where she earned a Master’s degree in Interior Design from Istituto Europeo di Design (Milan).
For over a decade, she worked in the field of lighting design while developing her own artistic practice. Her professional experience has had a strong influence on her work, shaping a particular sensitivity to space, light, and the everyday objects that surround us.
In my artistic practice, I work with situations in which familiar images, objects, and environments lose their stability and begin to shift between recognition and uncertainty. I am interested in moments when perception does not fully settle, when forms remain incomplete, and when what is seen resists becoming fixed or resolved. I mainly work with acrylic painting, and occasionally incorporate photography and, more recently, object-based elements.
